Special Applications For Mining Clients

Following are examples of software that have been setup for unique situations at some mine sites and serve more as an example of our ability to write custom solutions but may suit a particular purpose at your mine.

Face-FX  This software is designed for the mapping of gold veins. It includes customised routines to calculate the optimum gold grades across quartz veins. It currently handles the 5 different vein structures known at the Devex Mine at Gympie and has been designed to cope with any new combinations. Export facilities are available to plot the data in Surpac from the coordinates of the survey points and the distance down the drives. The software does not use the usual drillhole structure for mapping the face but instead computes locations from the center line of the face.

TruckEx .. This truck excavator monitoring program has been written entirely in Microsoft Access 7. The software is specifically for the collection of truck details for 85 and 150 tonne trucks. The main purpose of this program is to provide sophisticated query and graphing to monitor the perfomance of the excavators from the mine over time. The user can filter queries/graphs by excavator, shift, bench and date ranges. Totals can be grouped by day, week or month.

DC-FX  Management of the costs of drilling contractors can be expensive in deep exploration drilling.  Costs may vary by depth, drilling rig type used, consumables and even location.  Keeping tracks of these costs is usually left to the drilling contractor but if checking of costs is undertaken in house, it is usually undertaken in a spreadsheet.  These spreadsheets generally are good for month to month reporting but do not allow you to easily undertaken long term studies and require knowledge of spreadsheets to use them.
